How do I know if I am in the personal delivery area?

We are able to deliver to the Brisbane Metro area, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and beyond; simply go to the Delivery page of the website to see if we deliver to your area.

Can I buy Rumbletums products in the shops?

We are working hard to get Rumbletums into more stores in and around Australia, so watch this space… if you would like your local store to stock Rumbletums products let us know through the Contact Rumbletums page and we will contact them directly.

I got a delivery from you and some of the meals look and taste slightly different to the last ones I ordered. Why is this?

We only use the freshest ingredients available to us and this sometimes means that we source different varieties of fruit and vegetable depending on what is freshest at the time of ordering. As adults we expect and enjoy subtle differences when we cook with fresh produce. Encouraging your baby to adapt to these variations can help ease their transition to a grown-up menu.

What is the shelf-life of your dishes?

Our purées and tot meals have been snap frozen to retain their colour, flavour and texture. They keep for 6 months in a domestic freezer at between -18 and -25 degrees Celsius within its original packaging. It's fine if you want to defrost a Rumbletums meal before you cook it for your child, as long as you keep it refrigerated. Use within 24 hours of defrosting. It is very important never to refreeze something once it has been partially or fully defrosted, so any leftovers should be thrown away.

Can I pick up Rumbletums baby food directly from the kitchen?

At the moment we are not set up for kitchen pick ups.

How many portions are in each bag of purée?

There are 12 x 16g portions (190g total) in the following fruit and vegetable purées:

• Apple
• Pear
• Carrot
• Cauliflower
• Pumpkin
• Apple and Cinnamon
• Broccoli, Pear and Pea

There are 10 x 19g portions (190g total) in the following vegetable purées:

• Broccoli
• Sweet Potato
• Sweet Potato and Cinnamon

There are 10 x 20g portions (200g total) in each of the organic chicken, lamb and beef purées.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes. The minimum online order is $30.

Can Rumbletums food be reheated more than once?

No. Once the food has been heated, any leftovers should be discarded.

Can you eat the Rumbletums baby food as is or do I HAVE to cook it?

Rumbletums baby food is prepared, cooked and delivered to you frozen. All you need to do is defrost, heat in the microwave or heat up in a pan.

Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes. You can buy gift certificates in values of $50, $75 or $100 on the Rumbletums gift certificates page.

How do you package your orders?

We package your baby food in an esky with enough ice to keep the food frozen until that evening. You do not need to be home for the delivery. If no one answers the door we will leave the esky in a prearrange place for you to find when you arrive home. For deliveries in outer Brisbane areas food will be packed in dry ice.

Can Rumbletums food be defrosted before use?

It's fine if you want to defrost a Rumbletums meal before cooking it for your child. Just keep it refrigerated and use it up within 24 hours of defrosting. It is very important not to refreeze any food once it has been partially or fully defrosted, so throw away any leftovers.

How do I order?

Once you have chosen your Rumbletums meals, they will appear in your shopping cart. You then need to register with us and confirm your payment choice. Place your order online by midnight Thursday and we will deliver the following Tuesday to Brisbane Metro and Wednesday to all other areas. If you live outside our standard Delivery areas, please feel free to Contact Rumbletums and we will endeavour to make a special arrangement.

How do I develop good, varied eating habits, especially with a "fussy" eater?

Offering a variety of foods and repeatedly introducing new foods from an early age encourages children to experiment and accept different tastes and textures.

• Don’t give up if they don’t like something straight away.
• Increase the amount of colour on the plate. This might encourage children to try food that they usually refuse.
• When children sit down together to eat and drink, it provides an excellent opportunity for them to learn good social skills and behaviours associated with eating and drinking.
• Try to avoid distractions such as television and lots of noise.
• Show children a new food a few times before you give it to them to try. Talk to them about the food; explain where it comes from and how much you like to eat it.
• If your child is a difficult eater, then try not to get into confrontations about it because this can make matters worse. Instead, try to offer them a variety of foods.
• Provide good role models: Encouraging good food choices and eating habits in the adults, siblings and friends around children, is important in reinforcing the right messages.
